Terry Busch is a seasoned government and industry advisor with extensive experience in data analytics, geospatial intelligence, and machine learning. Mr. Busch serves as the Executive Officer of Capax Analytics, where he leverages his expertise in open-source language models and machine learning to design innovative solutions.
Mr. Busch started Capax Analytics after retiring from 25 years of government service. Mr. Busch served as the Program Manager of the Machine-assisted Analytic Rapid-repository System (MARS), where he was instrumental in working to revolutionize the foundational intelligence capability to the warfighter.
Before his work with MARS, Mr.Busch served the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) as Chief Data Officer. He also worked as a Senior Intelligence Officer on the Geotagged Open Source Search Intelligence Prioritizer program. His tenure at the DIA was preceded by his pivotal role at the Department of Homeland Security, where he developed and led the Airborne Rapid Imaging for Emergency Response program. This initiative, launched in response to the 9/11 attacks, provided real-time situational awareness to first responders through advanced airborne sensors and direct data transmission to emergency operation centers.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Busch worked for the Marine Corps Intelligence Agency, contributing to Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom as an analyst and geographer. He developed the Geographically Linked Information and Dissemination Environment (GLIDE) program, which delivered critical intelligence to deployed U.S. forces via secure networks.
Mr. Busch resides in Northern Virginia with his wife and their three dogs. He has a son and daughter currently in college. In his free time, he enjoys swimming, traveling, and playing golf.
